Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti is an annual festival observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar. It marks Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's birthday, who was born on 14 April 1891. Presidians celebrated the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti with great enthusiasm. Important incidents from his life were narrated to students for inculcating good values among them. The teachers also made them aware of the teachings of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and his contribution to the development of the country. The achievements of Dr. Ambedkar were highlighted, and emphasis was laid on his writing the lengthiest Constitution of the world. Students also drew sketches to pay heartfelt homage on occasion.

World Health Day is celebrated across the world every year on the 7th of April as an initiative of the World Health Organization to draw mass attention towards the importance of global health. The celebration was organized with the px`x`urpose of developing a sense of a healthy lifestyle among students and an understanding through which they can acquire their mental and physical fitness. Students presented a talk show and expressed their views on a healthy body and balanced diet. They also drew beautiful posters for creating awareness among the world with a message to take care of their health. The aim of the celebration was to convey the message of keeping oneself healthy by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Last but not least, teachers also spoke to the students about the importance of being healthy and also notified do's and don'ts which are necessary for a healthy life.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE HOLI WITH A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY!

To celebrate the auspicious festival of Holi, a special assembly was conducted by the students of Presidium, wherein the students talked about the importance of Holi and the safety measures required while playing Holi. A mesmerizing dance performance also enthralled the audience. The assembly was concluded by saying that Holi is the day to express love with colours and also implored students to play safe Holi by avoiding artificial colours which are dangerous for their skin.

National Mathematics day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who made an exemplary contribution to Mathematics. Mathematics day in Presidium was celebrated with the objective of creating awareness about the importance of mathematics in day-to-day life situations and also to create student’s interest in studying Mathematics. As part of the celebration, different hands-on activities, sums related to magical numbers, fraction walls, and talk on Mathematics were organized. The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the day.

Presidium celebrated Vijay Diwas to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war. Students celebrated the glory and role of the Indian Army to the country. They paid tribute to soldiers who sacrificed their lives on this day by drawing posters. They understood the importance of soldiers in our lives and shared that while we sleep comfortably in our homes, soldiers stand round the clock guarding our borders. They assimilated the significance of nationalism, patriotism, unity, and integrity. The observance of Vijay Diwas raised the desire in young minds to opt for the Army as a career and serve the motherland.

To enrich the vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding of words, a 'Word Bank' activity was recently conducted at Presidium for the students of Grade-1. During the virtual class, students played various games like missing letters, jumbled words, similar words, and guessing the right word. Human Rights Day is celebrated annually across the world on 10 December. It commemorates the day in 1948 the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It guarantees the rights of every individual everywhere, without distinction based on nationality, place of residence, gender, national or ethnic origin, religion, language, or any other status. To raise awareness of this day, students of Grade 1-3 created beautiful posters. The students of Presidium celebrated 'The Armed forces Flag Day' by paying tribute to the courageous and martyred forces. It was a celebration in remembrance of the armed forces who bravely defend our borders to safeguard our freedom. Students understood that these forces are the cause of peace in the nation, and their contribution is valuable. They enlightened everyone with the significance of the day by drawing various posters. They also understood the role of the three wings - the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force, and the Indian Navy - in maintaining peace in our nation.
