Students have always been fascinated and mesmerized by the Motions of the Earth. Recapitulating and equipping them with a better understanding of activity to share about the Rotation and Revolution was organized under the chapter 'Motions of the Earth'. They talked about Earth's shape, the difference between Earth and Globe, understanding about Rotation and Revolution, which causes day and night. They were also told facts about Earth's axis and orbit. Some of the students shared that due to rotation and the tilt of the Earth we have different seasons. It was an enthralling experience to see students talk about the Equinox, Leap year, Ellipse, Summer & Winter Solstice, etc. They understood that Earth and the sun's movements are connected. This activity aimed to help children internalize and remember the rotation and revolution of the Earth around the sun.

The Navy of India plays a great role in securing the country's marine borders and enhancing the international relations of India through many ways like seaport visits, joint exercises, humanitarian missions, calamity relief, etc. Students celebrated the greatness, glory, and role of the naval force to the country. Students drew various posters. The observance of Navy Day raised the desire in young minds to opt for the Navy as a career and serve the motherland.

A zoo is a place where almost all of us go to visit at least once. It’s a chance for us to see the animals that coexist with us on the planet. The students of Grade Nursery to 2 of Presidium enjoyed a virtual excursion ‘A Visit to a Zoo’ through an online session. The students saw various animals from different countries of the world and India as well. Various animals and their special breeds were shown and discussed with the students. The students were taught that animals also have emotions and can express them as well. They also learned about the sounds of different animals. It was a fun-filled experience for all the kids, and they enjoyed this virtual visit to the zoo a lot.

Electricity, we depend on it every minute of each day, and yet it seems a mysterious and even magical force. Electricity is the flow of electrical charges. An electric circuit is a closed path made up of conductive wires through which electric current can flow. Students developed an understanding of electrical current and its uses. They used thinking skills and deductive reasoning to create a simple circuit model by the material available at home. The activity helped in reviewing the concepts of a closed and open circuit.

Young children love dirt, mud, and everything in between! Students are naturally curious about soil, and most young scientists are delighted when they have the opportunity to get dirty. Presidium focuses on giving a platform to students to enhance their knowledge through Experiential Learning. Students of Grade 1 were made aware of the importance and use of soil under the 'Soil' theme in the TBL subject. Firstly, they learned the texture, color, availability, and other soil features. They also learned about things made up of soil such as pots, idols, utensils, etc. They enjoyed and made several objects and shapes with sand and clay too. They learned various uses of soil and the occupations related to it. Students not only got an understanding of the soil, and also learned how to take care of plants too.

Grade Prep students of Presidium took an opportunity to show their understanding of 'sh' words in an innovative way, through an activity. They shared different words starting from sh like- sheep, shoes, etc. and pasted the same on a chart paper. They made a chart with colourful things that build their understanding of the letter 'sh,' and it's sound. The activity holds students' interest and curiosity to learn the letter and its sound in a very interesting and simpler way. The reflection of the activity was visible when students demonstrated their charts along with beautiful pictures.

Every year, the 16th September is observed as the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. To create awareness amongst the young students who will be the citizens of tomorrow, Presidians observed this day with full zeal and enthusiasm. To mark the importance of the day, students were involved in various activities such as slogan writing & created beautiful Posters. These activities gave the students an insight into the importance of the ozone layer and the need to protect this fragile shield of gas, which protects the Earth from the harmful Ultraviolet radiation. In all, it was a good learning experience for young Presidians.
