Onam is an Indian festival that is celebrated for the joy of the annual harvest in the state of Kerala. It is celebrated for ten days in the form of boat races, dance, and folk songs. Presidians Grade 3 celebrated Onam by conducting a paper boat-making activity. Students also dressed up according to the occasion in white saree, lungies with white tikka on their forehead, and made floral rangoli. Students were very excited during the entire process as it increases their creativity and helps them generate critical awareness of the diverse culture of our country. Overall, Onam is a beautiful festival with a lot of small celebrations. It is indeed an enjoyable and heartwarming festival, students participated, and witnessed the joy of this festival.
