Students of grade 5 celebrated Darwin’s Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. Students talked about Darwin’s contributions to science. They familiarized themselves with the concept of ‘Natural Selection’ and ‘Survival of the Fittest’. Students also concluded that spices which successfully adapted to meet the changing requirements of their natural habitat thrived, while those that failed to do were extinct. To solidify these theories students watched the story ‘Grandmother Fish’ - A child’s first book of evolution.
