‘Spatial sense is considered a core area of mathematical study. It includes the ability to mentally visualize objects and to turn things around in your mind'. It was a day of Fun with Shapes at Presidium Pitampura. Various activities were organized to encourage participation and to promote creative skills among students. Different shapes were drawn on the floor in the corridor and students were asked to walk on the drawn shapes. It was fun-filled activity that helped children identifying and exploring sides and corners of the shapes. The children were given Jodo Gyan kits to create different shapes to create different shapes like pentagon, 3D shapes like cube and identify their sides and corners. These activities ignited a new spark of creativity and boosted their confidence. Students learnt properties of various shapes by doing these activities.
