India this year is celebrating its 73rd Republic Day commemorating the Indian Constitution which came into effect on January 26, 1950. In order to arouse the spirit of patriotism and kindle the flame of being a proud Indian, an assembly was put up by the students of Presidium. The whole aura echoed with patriotic fervour as the students danced to the tunes of patriotism, enacted skits, sang patriotic songs, and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion. Our Hon’ble Chairperson, Sudha ma’am apprised the message about the formulation and significance of the constitution and the preamble through her video. She urged students to abide by their duties.
The program began with the melody dipped notes 'Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja' showcasing the rich and varied heritage of the great Indian sub-continent by students of grades 2 & 3. Students of grade 5 enlightened the spectators about the Constitution of India and its face i.e. Preamble. The essence of women in Indian culture was depicted through an extravagant Nukkad Natak that emphasized the six fundamental rights and the dire need of educating a girl child. Students portrayed tableaux of different states and union territories followed by a mesmerizing dance performance on 'Incredible India' portraying Unity in Diversity and richness of India.
