National Farmers’ Day, or Kisan Diwas, is celebrated across the country on December 23 to honor India’s farmers and mark the birth anniversary of the nation’s fifth Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. This year, Kisan Diwas takes place against the backdrop of intensifying farmers’ protests on the borders of the national capital. Our country is known for agriculture and is mainly agriculture based. Students were very excited to learn about the different agricultural states with different crops, lifestyle of mankind and how they have brought glory to our country. This activity cultivated curiosity among each student towards learning and applying their understanding about the human relations with each other and helped them realize the importance of respecting the nation. The farmer is the only man in our economy who buys everything at retail, sells everything wholesale, and pays the freight both ways.
