"Books are the quietest and constant of friends, they are most accessible and wisest of counselor and the most patient teachers"- Charles William Eliot
September 8 was proclaimed as the International Literacy Day by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It aims to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities, and societies, now celebrations take place all around the world. In sync with the theme of literacy day, Presidian participated in many activities like bookmark making, reading stories, and setting up their own library. Students used their cognitive abilities to put together different and interesting books together to appreciate the importance of languages in an individual's life. Students also used their creativity to make beautiful and unique bookmarks. Education is a dialogue between the past, present, and future so that the coming generations receive the accumulated lessons of the heritage and carry it forward.
