World Ocean Day is observed on 8 June every year. The oceans are the lungs of our planet; they provide oxygen for breathing, the major source of food & medicine, and a critical part of the biosphere. Keeping this in mind, Presidians celebrated World Ocean Day. The students expressed their thoughts by making posters and drawing under the theme “Clean Ocean Drive.” They discussed the root causes of dirt in the oceans and measures to clean them. The students became even more enthralled to find the many negative impacts caused by us humans on the environment and ocean. The children pledged to relentlessly combat to keep local beaches free from hyacinth and plastic.
