Community Helpers are part of children's everyday lives. When children interact with community helpers, they communicate and socialize. The best way to understand the work of community helpers is to see them in action. Keeping this in mind, a ‘Community Helpers’ day was organised for the students of grade Prep. The school organised visits to places like parks, hospitals, fire station where the students met with helpers like Doctor, Nurse, Gardener, Cobbler , Fireman, Mechanic and got to know about the world beyond home. The activity was aimed at instilling respect for all professions and to learn to value them better. It was an excellent learning engagement as involvement in real world scenarios makes learning more meaningful and memorable for children.
